Basketball Recap: Southside's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

If Southside was feeling good fresh off their 94-29 takedown of Thomasville on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Southside Panthers fell 51-38 to the Fort Payne Wildcats on Saturday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.

Southside moved to 15-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Fort Payne, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-6.
