Volleyball Recap: Helix Has No Trouble Against Santana

Helix's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Santana Sultans as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Highlanders also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

While Helix won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13, 25-22.

Joseph Jenkins paced Helix's offense, picking up 12 kills. Jenkins got some help from Nicolas Reese and his 28 assists. Jenkins was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Helix is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Santana, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Helix didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Granite Hills on the 1st. As for Santana, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Mater Dei Catholic on the 1st.
