Clinton won the last time they faced Liberty and Javen Cook did his part to make sure it happened again. Clinton took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-6 win over Liberty for which the team can thank Cook, who rushed for 118 yards and four TDs on only nine carries. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 15 rushing touchdowns on the season.

Clinton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of KJ Vance and Amari Grant.

Clinton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.5 points over those games. As for Liberty, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Coincidentally, Clinton and Liberty will both be playing Chesnee the next time they take the field. Clinton will head out to face Chesnee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Liberty will host them at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
