Softball Recap: Sylvania Comes Up Short

Sylvania was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ider Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rams have suffered since March 18th.

Sylvania's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Ider, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Sylvania will challenge Geraldine at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ider, they will square off against Collinsville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
