After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Delphi Academy, Tarpon Springs was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Lakewood Spartans with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Spongers in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won nine in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Tarpon Springs was: they took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-10, 25-11.

Tarpon Springs' win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Lakewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
