Football Game Preview: South Anchorage Wolverines vs. Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears

The South Anchorage Wolverines will face off against the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in South Anchorage's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Juneau-Douglas has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

South Anchorage is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Service, who was ranked sixth at the time (South Anchorage was ranked second). The Wolverines took a 24-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars on Saturday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 34 points the game before, Juneau-Douglas was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They were outmatched by West Anchorage and fell 44-8.

South Anchorage's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Juneau-Douglas, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
