Basketball Recap: Lowpoint-Washburn Takes a Loss

Lowpoint-Washburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 61-23 loss at the hands of the Prairie Central Hawks.

Prairie Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kori Buscher out in front who posted six points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jayla Hammond, who earned six points and six steals.

Lowpoint-Washburn's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Prairie Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season.

Lowpoint-Washburn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-9 defeat against Henry-Senachwine on the 17th. Prairie Central has also already played their next contest, a 74-46 loss against Pontiac on the 16th.
