Softball Recap: Tempe Drops Highest Score of Season Against Glendale

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tempe). They put the hurt on the Glendale Cardinals with a sharp 13-6 win on Monday. The Buffaloes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Antonia Garcia was a standout: she scored two runs while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maribella Rivera, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

Tempe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Tempe moved to 3-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Glendale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Tempe has already played their next game, a 23-13 win against Dysart on the 25th. As for Glendale, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 24-10 victory against Washington on the 25th.
