Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Northrop Comes Up Short

Fort Wayne Northrop lost against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bruins fell 3-1 to the Knights. While the Bruins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Knights 25-18 in the first set.

Fort Wayne Northrop started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-21, 25-4, 25-16.

Kayla Smith went supernova For Fort Wayne Bishop Luers., getting 22 digs and four assists. That's the most digs Smith has posted since back in September.

Fort Wayne Northrop has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 11-16.
