League recap: Fairfield tops Cunningham to extend winning streak

Heart of the Plains (8 Man) recap Oct. 9, 2012

Fairfield extended the longest winning streak in Heart of the Plains (8 Man) this week by beating Cunningham, 44-20. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Falcons.

Stafford took down Argonia 52-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ethan Johnson ran for 116 yards in the win.

Jacob Norris and Jacob Norris gave Norwich a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Norris threw for 77 yards and two touchdowns, while Norris ran for 285 yards.

Jacob Earley made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Wildcats lost to Fairfield. The freshman recorded two fumbles.

Dylan Allison was the best wideout in the league this week as South Barber bested Caldwell. Allison racked up four receptions for 58 yards. Kale Girty helped South Barber's passing attack out by catching two balls for 17 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Eagles take on the Trojans. As it stands, Norwich is in sixth, while Stafford is in fourth.

Jeff Lowther's team led Heart of the Plains (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on the Red Raiders. Johnson in the win.
