Soccer Recap: Pinnacle Comes Up Short

Pinnacle was the 4-0 winner over Highland when they last played one another back in January of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Pioneers fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that Pinnacle have lost by just one goal.

Pinnacle now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Highland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Pinnacle will head out to square off against Brophy College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Brophy College Prep's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Pinnacle's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Highland, they are taking a road trip to face off against Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Perry's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
