 Ashville scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Talladega Tigers with a sharp  24-1 win. Ashville might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 11 matches by six  runs or more this season.
  Drew Layfield made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing  an inning while giving up   no  earned run or  hits. Layfield was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring four  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Dylan Palmer, who  scored four  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.  Parker Cross was another key contributor,  going 1-for-4 with five  RBI and three  runs.
 Ashville has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 17-12 record  this season. As for Talladega, they dropped their record down to 4-12 with that  loss, which was their 17th straight  at home dating back to last season.
 The teams wasted no time getting back out on the field as they've already faced off again: they played to  a  6-6  tie later that day.
