Football Recap: Yucaipa Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Yucaipa had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it four. They had to suffer through a 57-10 loss at the hands of the Beaumont Cougars. The Thunderbirds were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Max McCarty threw for 122 yards on three of 15 attempts. Ethan Ortiz was his top target, picking up 80 receiving yards. On the ground, Devin Ortiz rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown.

As for Beaumont, their win bumped their record up to 6-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Beaumont's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Duhu, who threw for 102 yards and three TDs. The team also got some help courtesy of Braedon Miller, who picked up 106 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Yucaipa wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 43-41 defeat against Redlands East Valley on the 24th. As for Beaumont, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-3 win against Citrus Valley on the 24th.
