Recap: Salpointe Catholic Lancers vs. Paradise Honors Panthers

The Salpointe Catholic Lancers stacked a 17th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Paradise Honors 58-21 at home. Winning may never get old, but Salpointe Catholic sure is getting used to it with their 12th in a row.

Salpointe Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taliyah Henderson, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Henderson is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last six games she's played. Sidney Anderson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.

Salpointe Catholic's lineup was just a bit different on Tuesday as Josi Muro got a bit more time on the court (15 vs. her season average of 6.07). Muro made the most of the opportunity, scoring four points. A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

Paradise Honors' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Morgan Van Dyke, who scored eight points along with four steals, and Jocelyn Leal who scored nine points. Van Dyke hasn't dropped below four steals for three straight games.

Salpointe Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season. As for Paradise Honors, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-5.

Salpointe Catholic will be playing at home against Casteel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Salpointe Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matches -- so hopefully Casteel likes a good challenge. Paradise Honors does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
