Volleyball Recap: Oak Grove Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Brandon

Oak Grove faced Brandon in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Warriors came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since August 12th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-13, 25-12.

Brandon was led to victory by Lynnon Rhodes and Katie Thornton. Rhodes had 16 digs and four assists, while Thornton had seven digs. That's the most digs Rhodes has posted over her last seven matches.

Oak Grove has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Brandon, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4.
