Softball Recap: Bonham's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Bonham was riding high fresh off their 17-1 takedown of Gainesville last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Bonham lost 8-2 to the Sanger Indians on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 back in March.

Bonham saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alayna Laisy, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Bonham's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-9-1. As for Sanger, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-5-4.

Coincidentally, Bonham and Sanger will both be playing Celina the next time they take the field. Bonham will head out to face Celina at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Sanger will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on the 8th.
