Lafayette County proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Lone Jack Mules 3-2. For the Huskers, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Mules walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Lafayette County took Lone Jack into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 17-25, 20-25, 25-21, 15-8.

Sophie Frank paced Lafayette County's offense, picking up 21 kills. Frank got some help from Katie Draisey and her 46 assists. Alex Erdman controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lafayette County's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Lone Jack, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Lafayette County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against St. Paul Lutheran on the 4th. As for Lone Jack, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Archie on the 4th.
