Football Recap: Port Washington Comes Up Short

If Port Washington was riding high fresh off their 38-13 takedown of Herricks/Wheatley last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings took a 28-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Farmingdale Dalers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Dalers are ranked 27th).

Port Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Farmingdale, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Port Washington will head out to challenge Hicksville on Saturday. Farmingdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
