Softball Game Preview: Mountain Home Bombers vs. Glenbrook North Spartans

The Mountain Home Bombers will take on the Glenbrook North Spartans at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. Mountain Home's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Glenbrook North's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Mountain Home's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Thursday's struggle, when Milan hitters got past them. Mountain Home took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Milan on Thursday. The loss was the Bombers' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Glenbrook North didn't have quite enough to beat Coffee County Central on Thursday and fell 6-5. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sophia Gochis was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Beban, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mountain Home fell to 5-1. As for Glenbrook North, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
