Recap: Wayne County Yellow Jackets vs. Spalding Jaguars
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Wayne County Yellow Jackets can now relate to. They fell 34-21 to Spalding on Saturday.
Despite the loss, Wayne County still got an impressive performance from Matthew Fuller, who rushed for 249 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. Fuller hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for eight straight games.
Spalding was led to victory by Cedric Evans and Dwight Terrell. Evans picked up 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Terrell rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Robert Henderson and his 82 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Spalding's victory.
Wayne County's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Spalding, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Wayne County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Spalding's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Troup County at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th.
