Basketball Recap: Wilmington Falls Despite Big Games from Sami Liaromatis and Nina Egizio

Wilmington suffered their biggest defeat since November 18, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 45-21 to the Morris Redskins. The Wildcats have struggled against the Redskins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Wilmington had strong showings from Nina Egizio, who posted six points, and Sami Liaromatis, who put up eight points and seven boards. Liaromatis has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 16 times she's played.

Wilmington's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Morris, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which somehow still isn't as good as their 23-5 record this season.
