Ocala Christian scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Taylor Wildcats by a score of 69-67. The Crusaders have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

James Thomas had an outrageously good game for Taylor as he went 10-for-15 en route to 27 points in addition to six boards and five assists. Another player making a difference was Christian Nichols, who shot 44% from the field to rack up 19 points and five steals.

Ocala Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Taylor, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Ocala Christian will venture away from home to take on Cornerstone Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 64 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Taylor, they are taking a road trip to face off against Burns Sci-Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
