Volleyball Recap: Beaufort Eagles vs. Jonesboro Cardinals
Beaufort was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Jonesboro Cardinals.
The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14.
Jonesboro got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Solana Brice out in front who had ten kills, nine digs, and a block. Brice is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had ten or more in the last seven games she's played. Olivia Carter was another key player, getting nine kills, five digs, and two aces.
Beaufort's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Jonesboro, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 34-12.
Beaufort wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against May River on the 5th. Jonesboro has also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Hilton Head Island on the 5th.
