Basketball Recap: Hillel Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Coby Shaw and Yaakov Kaminsky

Hillel Academy was the 50-41 winner over Summit Academy when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Hillel Academy fell 53-45 to the Summit Academy Knights on Thursday. The match marked Hillel Academy's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Hillel Academy had strong showings from Yaakov Kaminsky, who posted 22 points, and Coby Shaw, who had 14 points. That was a full 48.9% of Hillel Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Hillel Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Summit Academy, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillel Academy will head out to challenge Environmental Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Summit Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on St. Joseph at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
