Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Trace Jallick and Miles Sexton Lead Anderson to Victory

It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Anderson ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Goshen Warriors, sneaking past 78-76. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raptors have posted since February 16, 2024.

Leading Anderson to victory were Miles Sexton and Trace Jallick. Sexton went 6-for-10 on his way to 24 points and seven rebounds, while Jallick went 8-for-15 to rack up 20 points and eight assists. Those 24 points gave Sexton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Callahan, who went 5-for-8 en route to 12 points.

Goshen's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Graham Roark, who went 8-for-19 on his way to 26 points. Roark is becoming a predictor of Goshen's success: when he posts at least 20 points the team is 5-2 (and 6-7 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Bray Settelmayer, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten assists.

Anderson's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Goshen, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Anderson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 83-57 defeat against Lebanon on the 12th. As for Goshen, they will be playing at home against Clinton-Massie at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Goshen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.4 points per game this season.
