Softball Recap: Newman Comes Up Short

Newman and Almond-Bancroft squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Newman had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Fighting Cardinals' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Newman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Almond-Bancroft, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-6-1.

As of now, neither Newman nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
