Football Recap: Leto Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Leto had to endure a nine-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. Their defense stepped up to hand the Jefferson Dragons a 6-0 shutout on Thursday. The Falcons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

One reason for the win was Leto's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Kaylanny Jimenez was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three herself. Leto got some further help from Adelesa Curri: she picked up a sack, made seven total tackles, and defended two passes.

Leto's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Jefferson, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

Leto has already played their next contest, a 35-0 loss against Bloomingdale on the 4th. As for Jefferson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 20-0 win against Gaither on the 6th.
