High school football: Deion Sanders and Colorado become latest to offer MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year Julian Lewis

Promising quarterback prospect threw for 4,118 yards, 48 touchdowns in leading Carrollton to Georgia's AAAAAAA state championship game.

New Colorado head coach Deion Sanders continued his pursuit of high school football's most talented prospects, putting out an offer earlier this week to MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year Julian Lewis of Carrollton (Ga.).

According to 247Sports, Lewis already has 27 FBS offers with Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Texas and now the Buffaloes among those in the mix.

Lewis led Carrollton to a 14-1 record and an appearance in Georgia's AAAAAAA state championship game, throwing for 4,118 yards and 48 touchdowns. The Class of 2026 signal caller threw for 531 yards and five touchdowns in a losing effort in the title contest.

Sanders has completely changed Colorado's recruiting profile, landing five-star prospect Cormani McClain this week along with four-star prospects Dylan Edwards, Omarion Miller and Adam Hopkins. Coach Prime is also bringing 23 transfers to Boulder, most notably his son Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter from his previous stop at Jackson State.
