Softball Recap: Syracuse Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Syracuse and Herriman squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Syracuse had to settle for second. They lost 13-1 to the Mustangs. The loss continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Syracuse saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oaklee Derrickson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Syracuse's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Herriman, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-10.

Syracuse does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Herriman, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Riverton on the 20th.
