Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Catholic). They put the hurt on the Sandy Pioneers with a sharp 15-3 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Central Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Sandy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-3.

Central Catholic and Sandy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. The Rams will take on David Douglas on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (13 vs. 180). Meanwhile, Sandy (ranked 11th) will meet Gresham (ranked 176th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
