Horn Lake waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They blew past the North Panola Cougars 86-60. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Cougars are ranked 182nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Horn Lake has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.1 points per game. As for North Panola, they dropped their record down to 6-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Horn Lake will challenge Hernando at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Horn Lake is facing Hernando at the right time seeing as Hernando is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for North Panola, they will be playing at home against Coahoma County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Coahoma County will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something North Panola surely won't give up without a fight.
