Basketball Recap: Lawson Takes a Loss

Lawson lost against Mid-Buchanan back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cardinals were beaten by the Dragons 90-40. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-14.

Lawson's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaxon Quesenberry, who posted 14 points. Peyton Swope also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Lawson has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Mid-Buchanan, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Lawson will head out to take on Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mid-Buchanan has already played their next contest (against Maryville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
