Volleyball Recap: Escondido Charter's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It was a proper cat-fight when Escondido Charter challenged Vista on Tuesday. The Tigers blew past the Panthers 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Escondido Charter never let Vista on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 25-17.

Escondido Charter's offense was headlined by CLARISSA GOSS and OLIVE JOHNSON, who picked up seven kills apiece. GOSS really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 14. SIERRA MATTERS controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Escondido Charter picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-2. As for Vista, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Coming up, Escondido Charter will host Coastal Academy on Thursday. As for Vista, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Fallbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
