Garden Plain never got on the board in their matchup last Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Chaparral on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-42 victory over the Chaparral Roadrunners. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Owls also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Garden Plain has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.5 points over those games. Chaparral's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5-3.

Garden Plain and Chaparral should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Garden Plain will face off against Belle Plaine at 7:30 p.m. on Monday up 197 places (118 vs. 315). Similarly, Chaparral (ranked 124th) will meet Douglass (ranked 334th) on Tuesday.
