It was a proper cat-fight when Terra Nova duked it out with San Mateo on Thursday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Bearcats. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won six contests in a row.

The team relied heavily on JT Snead, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Brody Finale was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Terra Nova kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matches.

Terra Nova's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for San Mateo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Terra Nova will challenge Mills at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Vikings have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for San Mateo, they will take on Woodside at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
