Volleyball Recap: Intrinsic Comes Up Short

Intrinsic entered their game against Golder on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Panthers.

While Intrinsic was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Jesus Cabrera and Damian Kepa, who picked up three kills apiece. They were helped by Jovanni Uriostegui and Bryan Alvarenga, who contributed four assists each. Alvarenga was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Intrinsic's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Golder, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8.

Intrinsic has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Chicago Marshall on the 21st. Golder has also already played their next contest (against UIC College Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
