Baseball Game Preview: Sarasota Sailors vs. Out-of-Door Academy Thunder

The Sarasota Sailors will face off against the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sarasota comes in on eight and Out-of-Door Academy on three.

Sarasota's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Lakewood Ranch 9-0. Considering the Sailors have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Sarasota got a great performance from Blake Norman as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits Norman has allowed since back in February.

On the hitting side, Patrick Drymon was incredible, scoring a run while going 3-for-5. Nelson Dominguez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Sarasota was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .378. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakewood Ranch only posted a batting average of .091.

Meanwhile, Out-of-Door Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Bradenton Christian on Monday, taking the game 5-1.

Sarasota's victory bumped their record up to 13-3-1. As for Out-of-Door Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
