Volleyball Recap: Legend Falls Short Against Ranked Mountain Vista

Legend faced Mountain Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Titans lost 3-0 to the Golden Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

While Legend was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Mountain Vista's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-23.

Devon Guidici paced Legend's offense, picking up eight kills. Guidici got some help from James Titterington and his 35 assists. Finally, Addison Red kept Legend's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Legend now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Mountain Vista, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Legend is set to challenge their familiar foe Highlands Ranch at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for the Titans and five for the Falcons. Meanwhile, Mountain Vista will take on rival Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
