Softball Recap: Minnechaug Regional Comes Up Short

Minnechaug Regional managed to slip by Granby Memorial the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Falcons lost 16-4 to the Bears on Monday. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Angelina Cross made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Those doubles marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aezlin Rost, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Minnechaug Regional's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Granby Memorial, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Minnechaug Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granby Memorial, they are taking a road trip to square off against Stafford at 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
