Baseball Recap: Crimson Cliffs Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Crimson Cliffs rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over Mountain Crest. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Crimson Cliffs.

STATON KRANENDONK tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on CUTTER CHRISTENSEN, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. BRECKEN PARK was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Crimson Cliffs' record now sits at 18-8. As for Mountain Crest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-9.

Looking ahead, Crimson Cliffs will take on Desert Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Thunder have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season. Mountain Crest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
