Basketball Recap: South Cobb Find Success

South Cobb posted their closest win since February 12, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lowndes Vikings, sneaking past 48-45.

Lowndes lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dallas Montgomery, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Martin, who posted six points and 11 rebounds.

South Cobb's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-5. As for Lowndes, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Fort Walton Beach the next time they take the court. Lowndes will head out to face Fort Walton Beach at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, while South Cobb will play them later in the day, at 4:30 p.m.
