After losing to Elk Grove the last time they met, Franklin decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wildcats came out on top against the Thundering Herd by a score of 6-1 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Franklin got a great performance from Dylan Wood as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Wood has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Franklin's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Edgar Garcia, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another was Dylan Minnatee, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Franklin's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13.8 runs. As for Elk Grove, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-6 record.

Franklin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Thundering Herd: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
