Football Recap: Susan Moore Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Susan Moore and Tuscaloosa Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Susan Moore had to settle for second. They came up short against the Knights, falling 35-14. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Knights are ranked 123rd).

Despite the loss, Susan Moore still got an impressive performance from Sam Garrison, who rushed for 134 yards, and also threw for 186 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Garrison's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 105 rushing yards.

It was another big night for Mark Norris, who threw for 266 yards and four TDs while completing 88.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 116 yards and one score on only six carries for Tuscaloosa Academy. The dominant performance also gave Norris a new career-high in passer rating (167.3). Hinton Howell was another key player, picking up 35 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
