Baseball Game Preview: Oswego East Wolves vs. Neuqua Valley Wildcats

The Oswego East Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Neuqua Valley Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Wednesday, Oswego East came up short against Waubonsie Valley and fell 6-2.

Oswego East got a good showing from Caden Bregar, who pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Oswego East saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Cristanujaya, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Neuqua Valley faced off against Plainfield North on Wednesday. Neuqua Valley came up short against Plainfield North, falling 15-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since May 8, 2024.

Oswego East's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Neuqua Valley, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

Oswego East suffered a grim 12-5 defeat to Neuqua Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Oswego East avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
