Basketball Recap: Mounds Park Academy Takes a Loss

Mounds Park Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 84-39 loss at the hands of the Providence Academy Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 67-28 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.

Mounds Park Academy's record now sits at 2-10. As for Providence Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at nine games and leaves them with a 2-10 record.

Mounds Park Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 40-31 loss against New Life Academy on the 18th. As for Providence Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against St. Paul Academy-Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Academy is facing St. Paul Academy-Summit at the right time seeing as St. Paul Academy-Summit is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
