Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Essex

Essex had won two straight games and Morgan Self did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Essex Trojans put the hurt on the Northumberland Indians with a sharp 52-30 win thanks in part to Self, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Essex's points.

Aryeon Robinson was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to eight steals and three blocks. Robinson is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Essex is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Northumberland, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
