Football Recap: Catholic Central Starts off Right with Win over Wellsville

Catholic Central had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Wellsville Tigers by a score of 26-15 on Saturday. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Catholic Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matthew Sprochi, who rushed for 106 yards and one score on only 14 carries. Ryan Holzworth was another key back, rushing for 63 yards and one TD.

Coming up, Catholic Central will host Strasburg-Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wellsville, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge East Canton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
