Volleyball Recap: Kenosha Christian Life Extends Winning Streak to Six

Kenosha Christian Life had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Messmer Bishops with a sharp 3-0 win. The matchup marked the Eagles' most dominant victory of the season so far.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Kenosha Christian Life was: they took every set by at least 19 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-5, 25-2.

Sophia Pereira had a dynamite game, getting 12 aces and nine digs. Those 12 aces gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Linnea Lind, who had eight aces.

They weren't the only good server: Kenosha Christian Life was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 36 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in seven consecutive games.

Kenosha Christian Life's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Messmer, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Kenosha Christian Life will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Catholic Central at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Hilltoppers at the right time seeing as the Hilltoppers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Messmer, they will be taking part in a tournament against Milwaukee Juneau at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
