Recap: Seeger Patriots vs. Southmont Mounties
The Seeger Patriots suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 56-31 loss at the hands of Southmont. Seeger was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Southmont apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Seeger had strong showings from Addie Shrader, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four steals, and Cadence White, who scored ten points.
It was another big night for Delorean Mason, who scored 28 points along with three steals for Southmont. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mason has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Emily Link, who scored five points along with six steals and five assists.
Seeger bumped their record down to 13-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Southmont, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seeger will take on North Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Montgomery is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Southmont, they will head out on the road to square off against Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Frankfort focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday.
