Basketball Recap: Hillsdale Comes Up Short

Hillsdale was the 65-52 winner over East Jackson when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hillsdale Hornets took a 72-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Jackson Trojans on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (61), the Hornets still had to take the loss.

Hillsdale has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. The win was the third in a row for East Jackson, bringing their record for this year to 11-11.

Coming up, Hillsdale will challenge Jonesville at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Jackson, they will host Napoleon at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. East Jackson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Napoleon likes a good challenge.
